Almost anyone has heard of crossword puzzles. They are special types of games which require guessing different words, being given a set of clues. Now this is possible thanks to the Crossword Compiler application. This simple Windows program allows you to create complex crossword puzzles using just a couple of clicks.

After installing and launching the application, the user will notice the step by step wizard which is displayed on the screen. This wizard allows the user to set up a new puzzle game, in the easiest way possible. The first thing to do is to select the type of puzzle that should be created. Crossword Compiler offers support for several types of puzzles, from all over the world. After completing this step, the user should choose the grid size. A larger grid will require more time to complete a game and will also make it more challenging.

After choosing the grid size, the user will be able to customize the position of words, either by choosing one of the predefined options or by creating his own word positions. One can even add his own words to the puzzle or can have the program add the words automatically. At the end of the process, the puzzle can be directly published on the web or can be saved in a wide range of file formats. What's more, the puzzle can be printed or saved as a project file.
